Strengthening the reporting of genetic risk prediction studies: the GRIPS Statement

The GRIPS recommendations were developed to improve transparency, completeness and quality of the reporting of genetic risk prediction studies.

The guidelines were developed on the basis of existing reporting guidelines; STREGA, REMARK and STARD. The GRIPS statement consists of a checklist of 25 items and an accompanying explanation and elaboration document. It was simultaneously published in several journals e.g. Annals of Internal Medicine, BMJ, Circulation, Cardiovascular Genertics, etc.
